The Gratry family
is a family of industrialists originating from the North of France, then from Belgium and Switzerland, known since the 16th century1.
Its first representatives are attested in France in the 16th century, between Villeneuve-la-Guyard and Bourmont (current Champagne-Ardenne).
Several representatives of the Gratry family became Belgians in the 19th century, the most famous being General Guillaume Auguste Gratry, minister of war to King Leopold II.
This family was particularly present in the textile industry with the

During the second half of the 20th century, we found the
Gratry South American Establishments
, based in Belgium.
It is still represented today with Gratry Development, a real estate development company based in Geneva, Switzerland, and Gratry & Co3, a financial management company with a portfolio of more than a billion US dollars, based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. -United of America.
