Territory of Montana Territorial & State Warrants Bounty (rare!) set of 4

Description

You are bidding on a set of 4 original warrants, issued by the State of Montana (2 State Warrants and 2 Territorial Warrants) from the late 1800's as follows:
- State of Montana - State Warrant, dated 1892, Bounty for killing 5 Coyotes and 1 Bear
- State of Montana - Territorial Warrant, dated 1887, Bounty for killing 315 Squirrels
- State of Montana - Territorial Warrant, dated 1887, Bounty for killing 101 Squirrels
- State of Montana - State Warrant, dated 1891, Bounty for killing 1 Bear
Many of the early day pioneers were bounty hunters and most were dependent on these type documents for their cash needs.  The bounty animals were wolf, coyote, bear, mountain lions, squirrels and prairie dogs.
All warrants show the endorsements on the back to deposit/cash and receipt by the bank.  Please see images for additional detail (front/back).
Certainly a wonderful piece of history to frame and hang on the wall.
